Sword Coast Legends

Game Designer

Sword Coast Legends is a Dungeons & Dragons Adventure/RPG with both single player and dungeon master experiences. It was released in 2015 for PC and then ported to Xbox One and Playstation 4 in 2016.

  • Designed systems for randomizing dungeon layouts and dungeon master mode features

  • Helped develop and implement many interfaces in the game:

    • Stat tracking system​

    • Main menu

    • Lobby system

    • Server Browser

    • Console specific systems

  • Worked with artists and engineers to modify the game for console port

WWE2K

Game Designer

WWE2K is a licensed wrestling simulation mobile game that was released in 2015 on iOS, Android, and Amazon app stores.

  • Developed pitch materials with our Creative Director that were sent to 2K to acquire the project for the studio

  • Designed core game mechanics/systems, controls, and career mode

  • Collaborated closely with engineers to implement designs

  • Worked with artists to design the user interface

  • Volunteered and taught myself to script the user interface using C#

  • Managed text localization spreadsheet for multiple languages

WWE2K on Google Play

Skylanders SWAP Force

Character Designer

Skylanders SWAP Force is an action/adventure game using RFID technology to bring the physical toys to life. It was released in 2013 on the Nintendo 3DS.

  • Scripted functionality, animations, and effects for 11 characters

    • Movement

    • Combat

    • Special powers

  • Provided feedback for other character designers on their implementations

Characters I worked on: Hoot Loop, Rattle Shake, Trap Shadow, Roller Brawl, Smolderdash, Dune Bug, Fryno, Mega Ram Spyro, Ninja Stealth Elf, Knockout Terrafin, and Big Bang Trigger Happy.

Suits and Swords is a fantasy RPG mixed with the game of blackjack. It was released in 2014 on iOS, Android, and Amazon app stores.

  • Designed and wrote features and systems for the pitch sent to Sony which was accepted and became a project for another development team in the studio

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Defiance

Game Designer

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Defiance is campaign and multiplayer first-person shooter game for the Nintendo DS. It was released in 2011.

  • Responsible for gameplay in over half the levels in the game

  • Scripted combat encounters

  • Wrote dialogue for characters

  • Collaborated with artists on level specific needs such as cover, destruction sequences, etc

  • Play-tested multiplayer mode with the development team

Call of Duty Black Ops

Game Designer

Call of Duty Black Ops is a campaign and multiplayer first-person shooter game for the Nintendo DS. It was released in 2010.

  • Designed encounters and gameplay for 7 campaign levels

  • Supported scripting for 3 multiplayer levels

  • Wrote dialogue for level-specific scenarios

  • Play tested multiplayer and zombie modes to help refine the experience

Halo Mega Bloks

Game Designer

Halo Mega Bloks was a project that was cancelled part of the way through development. It was being developed for the Xbox 360 using the Unreal 3 engine.

  • I am unable to go into specifics of my role on this game, but it was incredibly fun to work on!

  • The project was acknowledged by Bonnie Ross from 343 Industries after a leaked video surfaced

Shinjuku Nexus

Lead Designer

Shinjuku Nexus was cancelled before its release. It was developed in Flash for Facebook and also had an iOS companion game.

The small team that I worked with did an amazing job and I couldn't have been more proud of them as a lead designer. Below is a cinematic that was created by 6 Point Harness for the game.

Reich

Level Scripter

Reich was a physics heavy futuristic first-person shooter game in development for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. It used the Unreal 3 engine and was cancelled in 2010.
